This page contains information regarding this site's use of copyrited material (graphics, images, etc.).
All material not originated by the author of this site has been identified as such, and citations of the original work provided. If incorrect citations exist, or other issues arise from the use of copyrightd materials, please contact the author. Materials with ambiguous sources will be promptly removed, as will material requested to be removed by the author/source. To the best of my knowledge, there are no restrictions on the materials used.
All glossary definitions are by the author and have been accumulated over several years of teaching. Sources for figures/images used in the glossary are cited there.
The only material I am aware of whose source may be ambiguous are the images of plankton and tides used on the background page for Day 6, Ocean Science. This material came out of various electives offered over a two-year period while teaching at WPI. I have simply cited these with my intials "SCD" as I was not able to ascertain their origins. If you believe you know a source for this material, please forward the information to me so that I can make the proper citations.
Finally, reasonable effort has been made to identify the original source for materials used. Where ambiguity exists, for example when the same image or figure is available from more than one source, I have defaulted to citing either a governmental source (e.g., USGS, or NOAA), or academic source (e.g., a site in the educational - ".edu" - domain).
